Privacy Policy

1. Overview

BuyerPilot provides browser-based supplier comparison and ranking tools for Alibaba and 1688. This policy explains the categories of information that may be processed when you visit the website, use the extension, purchase a plan or contact support.

2. Marketplace information processed by the extension

To provide supplier comparisons, BuyerPilot may read information displayed or embedded on supported Alibaba and 1688 pages, including product identifiers, prices, seller names, ratings, years on platform, business type, marketplace status, repeat-purchase indicators, sold counts, certification information and product or store links.

The extension sends bounded marketplace signal snippets and selected URL or text candidates to the BuyerPilot Cloudflare Worker through a signed request. The Worker performs seller-name selection, translation, field interpretation, quantity-price processing, supplier deduplication and ranking. Raw seller-page signal snapshots are processed for the requested scan and are not stored as ranking records. The normalized ranking result may be stored temporarily for secure CSV generation and expires automatically.

This information is used to generate rankings, confidence indicators and exports requested by the user. Marketplace fields may vary by page, seller, region and marketplace version.

3. Trial, account, licence and payment information

When you start a trial, we collect the email address and mobile number you submit, together with your communication consent, trial dates, licence identifier and usage counts. The phone number is not OTP-verified unless the form explicitly states otherwise. When you purchase or activate BuyerPilot, we process information necessary to manage your licence and plan.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments processes payment-card and billing information under its own privacy policy; BuyerPilot does not receive your complete payment-card number.

4. Website analytics and support information

When website analytics is enabled, BuyerPilot uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website usage and acquisition. Analytics events may include page views, referral or campaign information, browser and device information, approximate geographic information and interactions with trial, browser-store, support and tutorial links. We do not intentionally send licence keys, payment-card details or Alibaba/1688 supplier records to Google Analytics. Google processes analytics information under its own terms and privacy documentation.

When you consent, we may use the mobile number you submitted for trial assistance, customer support and BuyerPilot product messages. You can opt out by replying to the message or contacting us. We may also receive information you voluntarily submit through support requests, including your email address, browser version, screenshots, error messages and diagnostic information. Basic hosting logs may include IP address, browser type, referring page and request timestamps.

Information may be shared with service providers that support hosting, payments, licensing, analytics, email or error monitoring. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and service security.

7. Retention

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including licence management, support, security, accounting and legal obligations. Local extension data can generally be removed by clearing extension storage or uninstalling the extension.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service or browser extension can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices

You may stop extension processing by disabling or uninstalling BuyerPilot. Browser privacy settings, extensions and consent controls may also affect website analytics collection. You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information by contacting hellobuyerpilot@gmail.com, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

10. Third-party marketplaces

Alibaba and 1688 are independent services with their own terms and privacy practices. BuyerPilot does not control their pages, data availability, verification prompts or privacy practices.

11. Children

BuyerPilot is intended for business users and is not directed to children.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as BuyerPilot changes. The effective date will be revised when material updates are published.

Security verification

The free-trial form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated abuse. Cloudflare processes technical request and verification data for this security check under its own privacy terms.

Security and retention

BuyerPilot stores licence and usage identifiers as hashes where practical. New trial contact details are encrypted before database storage, while the encryption key remains in a private Cloudflare Worker secret. Device activations use short-lived tokens and a browser-generated signing key. Temporary ranking exports expire automatically. Encrypted trial contact fields are purged after the trial has been expired for 90 days. Security records may retain hashed network and activation identifiers for up to 90 days to investigate abuse without recording full licence keys.
